My design journey began in 1998, when I taught myself to build websites purely out of curiosity and passion. Today, that same passion drives my work as a Senior Interaction Designer at Google Cloud, where I lead the design of two enterprise products within GCP Observability.
I’m also the “Host & Face” of The Hybrid Experience podcast, where we dive into the mess and magic of blending cultures and building new paths in life and work. It’s personal, inspiring, and one of my favorite creative outlets.
Before joining Google, I spent nearly a decade running my own creative studio in New York City a dynamic chapter filled with bold ideas, inspiring clients, and even a feature on Brazilian TV channel Globo.
During the pandemic, I took on a second role as Lead UX/UI Teacher at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. I don’t have a college degree and despite that I was teaching at a university level, showing future designers that passion, grit, and hands on experience can take you a long way. Teaching reminded me why I love this work so much: it’s all about connection.
Outside of work, I’m all about music (my Spotify says I’ve listened to songs from 38 countries), home automation (yes, my lights talk back), and tennis (my favorite sport to play). I’m a lifelong GALO fan “VAMU GALOOO” and have recently started taking forró dance lessons, turns out rhythm is harder than it looks, but I’m loving it.
If you’re into design, culture, or just good conversation, you’re in the right place. Thanks for stopping by!
